Private Pilot

$6150 (in the Cherokee 140); $7150 (in the 2003 Cessna 172)

Applicant Requirements and Qualifications
Be at least 16 years old. Under 18 requires parental permission.
Valid FAA Third Class Medical Certificate.
Pre-pay the course.

*Note: Flight and instruction times vary according to the student’s ability.  This package price is based on student completing course in minimum time needed to become a Private Pilot. The minimum flight time that you must have is 40 hours. Additional flight time may be required.


Instrument Rating

$6825 (in the Cherokee 140); $7825 (in the 2003 Cessna 172)

Applicant Requirements and Qualifications
Hold a current Private Pilot Certificate-Single Engine Land with a minimum of 45 hours of PIC cross-country greater than 50NM from the departure point.
Hold a current Medical Certificate.

MEMLEY AVIATION WILL PROVIDE

  • 40 hours of PA28-180 instrument flight instruction*
  • Approximately 55 hours of dual instruction time (ground and aircraft)*
  • Jeppesen “Instrument Flight Manual”
  • Test Prep guide for the Knowledge Exam
  • Practical Test Standards book
  • Unlimited access to our extensive video library
  • Free Jeppesen California Instrument Charts along with a genuine leather binder!

*Note: Flight and instruction times vary according to the student’s ability. Leftover funds due to early completion can be used for aircraft rental and pilot supplies.

This package is designed to provide you with the needed flight time to become a FAA-certified Instrument Pilot. The minimum instrument flight time that is required an instrument flight test is 40 hours. However, this package offers 55 hours of dual instruction from a licensed instrument flight instructor (40 hours in the aircraft, and 10 hours of ground instruction). And all of the books and materials needed to complete the Instrument Pilot course.
